DESCRIPTION: Clocks- 3 (Three) Seth Thomas Marine: (1) Seth Thomas, Thomaston, Conn., "Merrimac" ship's clock, 30 hour, time and ship's strike, spring-driven balance wheel movement in a brass case with hinged bezel on a wood stand, c1935; (2) Seth Thomas, Thomaston, Conn., "Ship's Bell", 30 hour, time and and ship's strike, spring-driven balance wheel movement in nickel plated case with outside bell, c1884; (3) Seth Thomas, Thomaston, Conn., "Clipper" marine clock, 8 day, time only, spring-driven balance wheel movement with yacht wheel bezel on a mahogany base, c1936.
CONDITION: (1) Brass case finish is very tarnished. Silvered dial has small spots of dirt and tarnish. Ticks but does not strike. (2) Nickel finish has been mostly rubbed off. Silvered dial is tarnished. Partial rear label. Strikes, ticks, and stops. (3) Heavy brass case is spotted. Silvered dial is in very good condition. Wood base has been nicely refinished. Ticks briskly when wound. Dimensions given are for the Merrimac in its wood stand. Sold "as is ".
